'Genius' laundry hack will leave your clothes dry without tumble dryer or dehumidifier - Mirror Online

Battling with laundry during the chillier months can be a headache, as clothes take ages to dry inside and so the pile grows larger.

Those with hefty laundry loads know the strain all too well, particularly families washing daily, who often face immense pressure. Moreover, continuous use of tumble dryers or dehumidifiers isn't everyone's cup of tea due to the eye-watering hike they add to energy bills at times when expenses are already sky-high.

But fear not, organisational guru Caroline Solomon has swung in with a "really easy way to dry clothes fast" that won't bust your budget or hike up your electric bill it involves just a towel and zero gadgets. Caroline disclosed: "Lay a towel down flat, place your wet garments at the base. We going to do the burrito method.", reports the Express.

This nifty trick dubbed the burrito towel technique in the laundry world is a game changer, wringing out surplus moisture so clothes air dry in double-quick time compared to their sodden counterparts.

Better yet, this manoeuvre is kind to your attire, pressing out water without warping fabric, ensuring your threads maintain their pristine condition. Here's how you roll with the burrito towel method to speed-dry your garbs:.

Just grab a dry towel and spread it on any spotless surface like a table or even the floor. Pop your drenched clothing on top of the towel, laying it out neatly.

Start at one end, gripping both the towel and garment, and roll them up in unison, mimicking the classic burrito twist. To remove excess moisture, roll up both the towel and the clothing item, then apply gentle pressure to the towel.

Caroline explained: "You're going to press down on the towel with your knees to really wring out the moisture, and roll it." Afterwards, simply hang the garment on a drying rack, where it will dry in a matter of hours rather than overnight.

This technique is perfect for saving time and energy on laundry during the colder months. Alternatively, a hair dryer can be used for a quicker drying time. Caroline added: "It's a great method to try if you're travelling and you can wash something or if you don't have a dryer at home your dryer is broken so happy, drying! ".
